With IP68, it’s more than 1 meter and is dependent on the manufacturer’s specifications, but it’s still only for 30 minutes. The extra protection is certainly nice, but it’s more costly to implement. For most consumer uses, IP67 is just fine, especially since a good percentage of them float anyway.

Can I waterproof my existing Bluetooth speaker?

Yes, but its effectiveness is questionable, so we don’t necessarily recommend using the waterproofing sprays you can find online.
